With this series, Mills explores cyborgs, science fiction, and the objectification of the human body through photography. In January 2011, an exhibition of these photographs, coupled with a sculptural installation called “Birthing Chamber,” was shown at STATION and 3001 GALLERY in Los Angeles under the title PARTS, and was curated by artist/filmmaker Charlie White.
